Glossary

Client's Choice Offer An Offer that is satisfied when the client chooses the submission or submissions of their choice.
Common Logic Logic that all rational people agree to or share.
Conclusion The result of a full community Dialog/discussion on a specified subject that includes relevant Facts, Common Logic and Points of View.
Dialog A collaborative, critical thinking tool. A formal discussion where ideas or arguments are put forward. A dialog requires a topic, facts, opinions, and a conclusion.
Dialog Fee Dialog allows members to discuss a subject and add to a conclusion with relevant information and opinions. Varying rules for winning apply, but typically the dialog fee is split between active participants in the conclusion.
Essay Article, prose, story etc - a short piece of writing on a particular subject. Standard essay format contains an introduction, body, and conclusion. May be submitted in respnse to a purse or offer, or not.
Essay Purse Purse that allows members to respond with creative writing on the subject matter specified. Varying rules apply, but this is typically won by gaining the most votes.
Idea & Info Not defined by content amount or structure. Solutions to problems, resources and networking information are all part of this form of content.

Knowledge Request A request made for a specified type of knowledge or deliverable. May or may not have a fee associated with it. Three types: Offer, Dialog, Essay.
Knowledge Request Fee How much one is willing to pay for the knowledge or delivery requested.
Login Panel Panel at top of right column that allows members to Join or Login. Replaced with Member Control Panel once member logs in.
Member Person who has provided email address and been given a password.
Member Control Panel Panel at top of right column that is populated with member specific data at login.
Network Incentive The fee that motivates The People to search through their network and find someone to satisfy a Knowledge Request.
Offer Amount of money awarded for a specified content type: essay or dialog or idea or info. Differs from Purse in that Buyer may decide terms/rules of offer/ results required.
Participation Votes The votes a member accrues (1) for each post or submission. There are 5 allowed each week and they are added each Monday morning.
POV Point of View-your personal POV.
Purse Amount of money to be given out for a specified content type: essay, dialog, idea or info. Differing rules on how to gain the purse apply to each content type, primarily decided by member vote with editorial decree. May be split among a number of members.
Referral A person who joins DemocraSay through a member's Referral Link on the member's account page.
Satisfy Knowledge Request The decision from administrators at DemocraSay of whether the Knowledge Request specifications were met.
Shared Earnings A purse (usually for a dialog) that is split among several members who've contributed to the conclusion points.
The People Connected group of knowledgeable and motivated people refining ideas, collaborating, and finding meaningful conclusions.
Tools Cross between content type & payout type. Vehicle to help generate buzz in a target audience or Source creativity from a community.
Verified Member Member who has provided address, W4, PayPal and cell phone information.
Veto The ability for a verified member, moderator or administrator to remove posted material for cause (used as a last resort). Causes include: abuse, copyright violation, plagiarism, factual inaccuracy, purse rules broken, redundant content, changing subject (Dialog format only).
Vote The ability of a verified member, moderator or administrator to vote to decide the winner(s) of any Purse.
