Dialog

The Dialog Tool is a series of Dialog Threads about a particular topic. As members come to conclusions in the Dialog Threads, Conclusion Points are created. Conclusion Points must be supported by a Dialog Thread and are classified as Facts, Common Logic (e.g., "murder is wrong") and Point of View Logic (e.g., "abortion is murder"). Any member can veto the comments of someone changing the subject of a thread, repeating old information, or using tactics that confuse and cloud the Dialog Thread. Members are allowed to participate anonymously so that they can speak more frankly about issues.

1. Engage in dialog by adding insightful comments or replying to existing comments. Invite colleagues who care to participate.

2. Create Conclusion points. When the dialog thread has reached a conclusion and is veto proof, create a conclusion point.

3. Keep an Open Mind. If the threads on the dialog do not reach immediate consensus, before using the veto button, try once more to engage. The community will resolve on its common issues, given time and information.

4. Veto if Necessary. If a participant insists on adding comments based on unsupported facts or based on faulty logic as Conclusion Points, veto the Conclusion Point and state your reasoning. Your feedback will be e-mailed both to the author of the post being vetoed, as well as to the DemocraSay administrators.

Dialog Conclusions
  • When there is new fact or new logic established in a discussion thread.
  • When the other members discussion thread are ready to agree on factual or logical point.
  • When you are confident your addition is veto proof.

‘Common Logic’ is independent of your point of view ‘POV’. It is logic that all rational people agree to.

Anytime you want.

  • Unsupported statement of fact in the referenced thread.
  • Conflicting fact that has equivalent support
  • Copyright infringement, Plagiarism
  • Changing or expanding the subject of a Dialog Thread or a Conclusions Thread (Start a new Dialog Thread instead please)
  • Repetitive Statements of matters already dealt with elsewhere in the specific Dialog
  • Illogical argument
  • Incorrect classification (ie fact, common logic, pov logic)

DemocraSay Administrators.

You are free to start a discussion about your disagreement with the decision. Unless the DemocraSay editors are convinced by your arguments, and those of your peers, you should not expect to have the veto overturned

It doesn’t help your credibility with the DemocraSay editors team and will be tracked in your profile page for all to see.

Knowledge Requests

Knowledge Request Form Instructions:

Verification Method: This is the method that allows DemocraSay, the Broker, the Seller, and the Buyer to verify that the solution given has met the Knowledge Request. It is important to make sure that your Verification Method is compatible with your Knowledge Request.

Knowledge Request Summary Title: A few, short words summarizing the solution requested

What Knowledge do you want: Put the specific details of the Knowledge you’re requesting here. It must be as specific as possible or it will be sent back for revision. You only pay for what you specify, so make sure your specification is clear. For example, if you need a sample human resources manual from a company in the U.S., make sure you don't just ask for a human resources manual. If you need it to include sections on recruitment, benefits, equal opportunity, make sure to indicate you need those sections. If it needs to be from a company with at least 20 people, make sure you specify that here.

Revision Date: Knowledge Requests will expire 30 days from their posting day. You may revise your request during the first 7 days if you have not yet received a submission meeting the criteria. The fee for revisions is $1.00.

Knowledge Request Fee: This is the fee that will motivate people to find your solution. If a broker is involved in your transaction, 25% of the fee will go to the broker.

PayPal Information: If you are a broker submitting an offer for someone else, you are responsible for the posting and payment of the Knowledge Request.

Once your request has been sent to DemocraSay, it will either be returned to you to revise and resubmit or approved by us and posted and confirmation will be sent.

Verification Method: This is the method that allows DemocraSay, the Broker, the Seller, and the Buyer to verify that the solution given has met the Knowledge Request. It is important to make sure that your Verification Method is compatible with your Knowledge Request. There are six verification methods that allow the Knowledge presented to be verified:

1. First Delivered - When a member submits a solution for your Knowledge Request, it is time stamped. The first solution submitted that satisfies the Knowledge Request earns the Knowledge Request Fee.

2. Client's Choice - Before the expiration date, the buyer is required to purchase at least one solution of their choice if there is at least one submission that meets the specification.

3. Contest Verification - The member who gets the most votes through the DemocraSay voting system before the expiration date wins the Knowledge Request Fee.

4. Seller's Relationship - Sellers are cautioned not to submit solutions for the Knowledge Request that they cannot verify independently through their own relationships.

5. Broker's Relationship - Select brokers who work for DemocraSay or have a credible history with DemocraSay are allowed to verify that an acceptable solution was delivered through their relationship.

6. Affiliate Relationships-DemocraSay has to have agreement with a site/business that allows for tracking results delivered by DemocraSay.

A buyer of Knowledge is the person requesting and paying for the Knowledge.
A broker of a Knowledge Request is representing the buyer and facilitating the transaction for the buyer. The broker then assumes responsibility for the posting and payment of the Knowledge Request and earns 25% of the Knowledge Request Fee for this service.

DemocraSay Brokers are members of DemocraSay and are Independent Contractors responsible for finding Knowledge Requests.

Step 1. Become a Broker
To become approved as a broker, use the Knowledge Request form to submit your first Knowledge Request and check the box that says, "I am the broker of this Knowledge Request." The broker is responsible for finding, managing, helping to locate a seller, and paying the Knowledge Request Fee.

Step 2. Get Knowledge Request Approved by DemocraSay
To be approved, the Knowledge Request must be transactional, (deliver A for $X) and satisfaction of the Knowledge Request must have a designated Verification Method

Step 3. Network out to help find the person who can satisfy the Request.
Modify and adjust the Knowledge Request as necessary to find someone to fulfill. Modified Knowledge Requests must be re-approved by DemocraSay and follow the policy and procedures. Revisions are allowed within 7 days of posting. All requests have expiration dates of 30 days after posting. They may be reposted by paying the $1.00 insertion fee.

Step 4. Earn Brokerage Commission
When the Knowlege Request is satisfied, the Broker earns 25% of the satisfied Knowledge Requests that they were originally generated. Broker is given 5 days to pay the seller and DemocraSay for their satisfied Knowledge Request. Non payment will result in termination of relationship between DemocraSay and Broker.

Offers

Also know as revision date, each offer is given 7 days from posting to revise the offer provided there are no qualified submissions by the offer review date.

A first delivered offer is when there is a specific request being made and only the first submission that meets the requirements will be selected.

Client's Choice means that the client will decide which submission or submissions they prefer and select (or not select) those. By the expiration date of the offer, the client is required to select a submission if at least one meets the minimum criteria.

Purses

A purse must receive a minimum of two qualified submissions in order to pay out. The number of qualified submissions may be higher if specified in the purse details. If the minimum number of qualified submissions is not reached, the purse will be withdrawn.

A qualified purse submission is a submission that addresses the knowledge request topic in a meaningful and coherent way. Submissions can be disqualified for any of the following:

Being off topic
Slanderous, abusive or inaccurate content
Poor grammar or writing
Not meeting the specific requirements of the purse

You may edit the content of your purse submission if it has no votes. After the first vote for your submission has been posted, you are not allowed to change the content of your submission.

* The piece of content with the most votes at the deadline wins: unless otherwise specified in the purse description.
* Winning authors will be paid via PayPal. Please include your PayPal information in your account.
* Purses may include additional specific instructions in the purse description.
* Submissions may be vetoed for not meeting DemocraSay policy or purse instructions.

If there are an inadequate number of: submissions, quality submissions, or qualified submissions at the start voting date, DemocraSay reserves the right to extend the purse end date or withdraw the purse.

Have your submission win the most votes from DemocraSay members.

It depends on the rules of that particular purse. The rules will be outlined in the Purse Details.

The process is as follows:
• When the purse closes, we verify the votes, and we award the purse to the valid winner.
• The winner will be notified after the purse is awarded.
• The winner should already have provided us with their correct PayPal information
• The winner will be asked to confirm that we have the correct PayPal information.
• We deposit the purse into that PayPal account.
• We have 30 days in which to complete this process.
• The exact time varies depending on the vote verification, the response from the winner, and the number of regular business days (we only disperse funds M-F and not on legal holidays).
