Dialogs

Welcome to DemocraSay - The Knowledge Marketplace.

At Democrasay, we don’t just type because we like the sound of our keyboards. We’re looking for answers and solutions. To that end, we are looking for conclusions to our dialogs. What does that mean? If you’ve engaged in a debate surrounding an article AND you feel you’ve successfully defended your position without question, then you should post a concluding comment. Conclusions can be added to dialog at any time. If the other dialog participants don’t agree, then the dialog continues. Otherwise, you have successfully concluded your debate. We will include your position on our conclusions page.

You should make an addition to a dialog conclusion when there is new fact or new logic established in a discussion thread, when the other members discussion thread is ready to agree on a factual or logical point, or when you are confident your addition is veto proof. Your conclusion addition can be vetoed for:

  • Unsupported statement of fact in the referenced thread
  • Conflicting fact that has equivalent support
  • Copyright infringement
  • Plagiarism
  • Illogical argument
  • Incorrect classification (i.e., fact, common logic, point-of-view logic)

“Common Logic” is independent of your point of view (“POV”). It is logic that all rational people agree to.

DemocraSay editors will decide if the veto stands and if you don’t agree, you are free to start a discussion about your disagreement. Unless the DemocraSay editors are convinced by your arguments, and those of your peers, you should not expect to have the veto overturned.
