In this day and age, Mother's Day is as commercialized as other similar yearly celebrations: Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Nonetheless, it still has retained its meaning and purpose. And benefiting from this traditional tribute to mothers are the legions of homemakers whose main source of happiness is to make life better for their husbands and children.

So, let's roll out the red carpet for... our Mothers !!!

Let them share their innumerable maternal depressions. How they face unnecessary expectations on them being mums. The toils and triumphs they encountered during pregnancy. How they handle their fast-paced lifestyle. How they manage to find time for their brood and run the household without hired help, balancing the needs of their family with their own needs.

For unmarried DS members, tell us how your mother* coped with the many challenges of motherhood. How she nurtured your being and molded you into what you are now. Let her know what she means to you and allow us to see her through your eyes.

For the husbands, this is your chance to make your partners feel that electricity once again. Bring back those 'sparks' and 'shivers down my spine' drama. Or you can just type out your thoughts of your own mothers.

Let us catch a glimpse of the trials and joys of motherhood and see the wisdom of it all.
