The Discovery Channel May Have Found Jesus' Tomb

"Just when it seemed that the controversy over The Da Vinci Code's premise that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and produced a child had faded, Discovery Channel announced Sunday that it plans to air a documentary on March 4, [2007] that suggests that it has found possible proof of that hypothesis. The documentary, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, executive produced by Titanic director James Cameron, tells of the discovery of a 2,000-year-old tomb in the Talpiot area of Jerusalem in which 10 ossuaries, or bone boxes, were found bearing the names Jesus, Joseph, Mary, Matthew, Mary Magdalene and "Judah Son of Jesus." In a news release, Cameron said, 'It doesn't get bigger than this. We've done our homework; we've made the case; and now it's time for the debate to begin.' "
(Movie and TV News: http://www.imdb.com/news/sb/2007-02-26#tv3).

If true, we have to wonder if it would be possible to clone the DNA from this discovery and actually bring back to life one of the greatest men who ever lived. What would he do or say about our present global situation. Life was much simpler in the days that Jesus roamed the world, however, not much as changed in that some people have lots more than others and the ones with lots more than the others are always making war on those who have less. What would Jesus do?

Write about what you think Jesus would do if he came back to life in today's modern world. Please stay on topic: we are looking for a thoughtful, well considered answer to what Jesus would do today, not a discussion of the program on the Discovery Channel, moral commentary on the use of DNA, etc.

I don't understand. I never thought Bill dark. He always struck me as a modern-day prophet.

Maybe I'm just a hopeless optimist, to whom reality seems dark.

I think you mean dark humor, Freestyle. Black humor is something all together different.

Wow, this i really a loaded question. There is so much sin around in the world today, drugs, violence, adultry. I don't know where he would start, but I know he would preach the word and his way, explaining to people that he is to lead their way to the promised land. People are to into what is right for me today, and it should be what is right for God. What can you do for God? People should really start reading the word, and going to church, it would help their lives out.

This thing is going to be decided by the Fundies of the internet, much like the 2000 election.

Election fraud, conspiracy to commit election fraud, and the US Supreme Court decided the 2000 election.

Bush didn't have a chance at anything until he started preaching.

When He came in this world last, He had showed that the Bible is for people, not people for the Bible. He pointed out to the Jews who had bent the law of God against its principles that the Law is not at the cost of humanity. Today, the raging controversy and death cause all over the world is religion divison. People need to see that God is one and that war and killings in the name of God is just as big a sin as any other in any of the Holy books.

Jesus would be able to bring that concept - and definitely be prosecuted again for proclaiming something that many fanatics would find unacceptable - that God is one; that all religions proclaim the same thing; that whether we pray to the Father, or Allah, or Lord Buddha, or Lord Shiv or Lord Krishna, or any other religion of the world they all are one. Just as your father is the son of someone, brother of another, husband of another - so is God called and prayed to in different manners. A daughter's love cannot be the same as a wife's love or a mother's love - yet they all love the same man. Their types of love cannot be interchanged or substituted - they all right in their own place. This is the same with God and the way each religion chooses to pray to HIm.

Jesus would try to bring the world together - those who have sense would follow Him. Those who do not, would prosecute Him, just as it happened when He walked the Earth last time.

If Jesus came back, He would try to bind the world together again with His Immense Love, and most definitely die again trying.

In the event that this would take place. It would cause 1 of 2 options to occur:

1 - It would prove that any "being" created by man is without soul. (And/or prove soul is nonexistent)[Scientific Response]

2 - It would cause Jesus to be not only overwhelmed with people trying to see him, he would probably weep for the people he died for. [Christian Response]

This question reminds me of the episode of Boondocks when they brought back Martin Luther King, Jr. The episode focused on the reaction of MLK,Jr. and also how society reacted to him. Check it out.....

I apologize if anyone expected a "long-winded" response. I like being short and sweet!

From Wikipedia,
The phrase "What would Jesus do?" (often abbreviated to WWJD) became popular in the United States in the 1890s and again in 1990s as a personal motto for thousands of Christians who used the phrase as a reminder of their belief that Jesus is the example to be followed in daily life, and to act in a manner of which Jesus would approve. The initialism WWJD is sometimes used by Christians to mean "Walk with Jesus daily".
My two cents

Hard to imagine that Jesus could be brought back, and if so he would not have the same mind or thoughts as that of the original.

He actually probably would.

If he were a perfect clone, that is.
